Aims and mission

Lab-Las is a research group located in the Department of Developmental Psychology and Socialization, at the University of Padova. It was established in April, 2008.

Lab-Las main research activity focuses on language development in typical and atypical populations (Down Syndrome, Autistic Syndrome, Specific Language Impairment). In particular, studies on the role of cognitive and linguistic skills in text and idiom comprehension on reader's responses to literature, on the construction of the concept of authorship and the development of definitional competence have been carried out. Moreover an innovative research interest concerns the acquisition of Italian as second language in immigrant preschool children.

Lab-Las mission is to promote the scientific interaction between our members and with national and international colleagues who share similar interests.
